Featured Opportunities
Social Media Committee Member
Help manage our online presence and engage with the community across Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, and other platforms.
Responsibilities
- Create and schedule social media content
- Engage with followers and respond to comments
- Monitor social media trends and opportunities
- Coordinate with other committees for content
Qualifications
- Familiarity with major social media platforms
- Strong written communication skills
- Understanding of libertarian principles
- Ability to commit to regular posting schedule
Bylaws Committee Member
Review and propose updates to organizational governance documents and ensure compliance with LP Virginia requirements.
Responsibilities
- Review current bylaws and identify needed updates
- Research best practices from other affiliates
- Draft proposed amendments
- Present recommendations to the board
Qualifications
- Attention to detail
- Experience with organizational governance (preferred)
- Understanding of parliamentary procedure (helpful)
- Ability to work independently
Community Outreach Committee Member
Plan and execute outreach activities including tabling at events, community service projects, and coalition building.
Responsibilities
- Identify outreach opportunities in the community
- Staff tables at festivals and farmers markets
- Coordinate with partner organizations
- Track outreach metrics and outcomes
Qualifications
- Friendly and approachable demeanor
- Ability to explain libertarian positions clearly
- Comfortable with public interaction
- Reliable transportation
Other Opportunities
Event Organizer
Organize and host regular social events including happy hours, family brunches, and special gatherings.
Responsibilities
- Select venues and coordinate logistics
- Promote events through established channels
- Host and facilitate events
- Collect feedback and track attendance
Qualifications
- Event planning experience (preferred)
- Strong organizational skills
- Ability to work with vendors
- Comfortable speaking to groups
